SintimSpeaks …. Decisions Determine Destiny

Decisions Determine Destiny … where do I start we are living in a world full of past decisions. I strongly believe that the better decisions you make the better your life starts to become, if you need to cut that one friend cut them off you’ll feel so much better I promise, if you want those shoes buy them girlllll treat yourself. Personally I think your own decision means you’ve made up your mind about a particular thing that needs a course of action.  I myself will be the first one to say I’ve made some stupid, decisions but I did not let them stop me from getting where I am today or where I am going in my  future

There have been certain people and situations that have definitely contributed in some of my major decisions in life even though at the end of the day the one making the decision is me basically what I’m trying to get across is that making a decision can impact what your reality will most likely be. For example, I used to think because I saw certain “friends” talk to their parents a certain way that I could do it believe it or not I tried it and my mother reminded me that she was not the one I learnt my lesson very quickly and never attempted it again LOOOL.

A positive example of making a decision was the day I decided to take religion seriously I’ve always believed in God and went to church but not because I wanted to but it was the norm in my household “Sunday is church day”, but the day I picked up my bible and started to read it for myself I knew I had made the best decision to follow Christ, although I am still learning and there will be definitely be some bumps on the way I know it will be all worth it in the end.

Starting blogging itself is a very rewarding decision I’ve made, using things I have been through from the past to teach and help others has been an incredible journey but, I’ve had the most incredible reaction so far but it has been definitely tougher than I thought. But having the heaven-sent support system and family I have has made the journey that more worth it.  As you can see having people that believe in your dream and push you even when you’re ready to give up can impact on anything you decide to do in life. But the key thing is to keep going forward and trust your decision my love.

I’ve learned so much from making my own decisions in life,  that no one knows me like myself only I know what is best for me so inevitably I can make the best and sometimes not the great decisions for myself, “to thine own self be true”- William Shakespeare, even one greatest poets to have lived said it. I have also learned that with making my own decisions I can’t blame anyone for the outcome when negative but learn from it, but in the same breath I can praise myself highly when I get the outcome I deserve and have worked hard for such as blogging.

One more thing I want everyone who is reading this to know is that not every decision you make in life will be easy and often the hardest decision in life are the best for you in the long run, in most cases you will not understand why is happening but I promise you after its done you’ll be ok  like my mum always says to me when I’m in doubt of a decisions I’ve made “god works in mysterious ways”. Another thing I must stress is that do not ever let anyone make a decision for you it’s okay to say NO although the person you’re saying it to won’t agree or understand like I said before only you know what’s best for you. I really hope you enjoy this post and take something from it to teach others like I always intend to do.

Each day is a day of decision, and our decisions determine our destiny – Russell M Nelson

  1. Yes, I have definitely learned in life to make decisions based upon what is best for me and not what everyone else thinks is best for me. I would have missed out on so many great opportunities if I had let others dictate my life.

  2. I LOVE both those Proverbs scriptures! And you are so right decisions mold your future. Even bad decisions can be seen as lessons and lots of times as you said, decisions will not be easy. My decision to follow Christ was honestly not an easy one for me. I struggled for a LONG time with faith and Christianity. Love this post girl!

  3. Freedom from people is one of the best self care practices ever. You get lost when trying to follow others and let them make your decisions. Follow God and you can’t go wrong! Great post!
